SPC Kyle Stoeckli died June 1, 2013 in Maiwand, Afghanistan, from injuries caused by an improvised explosive device. As a child he played guitar, loved hanging with friends, jet skiing, and hugging his mother. He was very loyal, friendly, and very respectful. Kyle’s commitment to fighting for his country was evident in a tattoo of the Bible verse John 15:13: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
