Long, 26, of Lilburn, Georgia died on June 18, 2005, in Baqubah, Iraq, from injuries sustained on June 17, 2005, in Buritz, Iraq, while conducting a mounted patrol and the HMMWV was attacked by enemy forces using rocket-propelled grenades. He was assigned to the Army’s 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment,

Warrant Officer 1 William L. Loffer, 26, from Martinsville, Indiana, died when the AH64-D Apache Longbow Helicopter crashed during training . He was assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment, head quartered at Hunter Army Airfield.

Marine Lance Cpl. Adam E. Loggins 27, of Athens, Ala.; assigned to 3rd Battalion, 6th Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died April 26 2007 from wounds sustained while conducting combat operations in Anbar province, Iraq.

He died Sept. 23 2006 of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during combat operations in Riyadh, Iraq.
